About Us

Our vision for OpenCircle is to provide a relevant, life-empowering, spirit-filled place and ministry for young adults ages 18 through 35, grounded in our five core values: Love, Faith, Relevance, Grace and Impact. We call ourselves OpenCircle because we believe “there’s always room.” Room for one more (LOVE). Room for broader theology (FAITH). Room for doubt and questions (RELEVANCE). Room for mistakes (GRACE). And room to make a difference (IMPACT). These values define who we are and more importantly, who we want to be.

We started as a small group of young people hungering for meaning, purpose, and above all, community. OpenCircle is becoming more and more a place where we find all of the above. Since January 2011, we have grown from around ten to more than sixty. And these individuals will testify to how important OpenCircle has come to be for them. Whether it be with new friends or through new faith, we are experiencing growth. And as our circle continues to grow, so do our hearts.

When looking inside this circle, you will see the real lives of young adults who are working, studying, loving, sometimes hurting, but always seeking.  Every week our fellowship is a testimony to how God is working within this circle and beyond – taking all of our resources and talents, pain and brokenness – to build something new and something amazing. And there is more to come.

Living out our core values of Love, Faith, Relevance, Grace and Impact, our hope is to reach young adults in the Silicon Valley and share with them the message that in OpenCircle and in God’s Kingdom, “there’s always room.”
